Gear pumps with a heating jacket are used mainly for pumping liquids with solidification properties, such as bitumen, adhesives, resins, varnishes, etc., when the product must be constantly heated so as not to lose its properties and not harden
Structurally, gear pumps with a heating jacket are available in two versions
- The pump body is made of cast iron, the shaft and gears are made of steel
- The pump body is made of stainless steel AISI 316, the shaft and gears are made of steel
They are equipped with two types of seals
- Gland packing
- Mechanical seal (Viton)
Hot water or steam can be used to heat the working chamber. The inlet and outlet pipes have the same diameters. All GBC series pumps are self-priming.
